Our exclusive Wound Management Training Programs are designed to enhance learning by encouraging active participation in all areas of the program.  Both the basic course and the advanced course were created using the same format. Highlights of these courses include:

The Online Component

• 17 interactive modules pertaining to all areas of wound management.
• Quizzes and tests are included with each module to help you check your knowledge and discover areas where you need reinforcement.
• Digital images and animated activities demonstrate important concepts and help to reinforce learning.
• Video clips demonstrate important concepts and reinforce learning.
• Reading assignments and recommended readings from current peer reviewed text books and journals pertaining to module topics.
• Charts and study guides that can be easily downloaded for future reference.
• Key terms are an integral part of our training program. Key terms are presented with each module to reinforce important concepts.

The Training Kit

• Current wound management text book provides reinforcement of online training.
  (the advanced course will include an additional text book)
• Interactive CD contains case studies for you to apply your knowledge; diagnose and recommend treatment for patients with a variety of wounds.
• Study guide which includes a comprehensive outline of each module and area to take notes while you complete the online coursework.
• Certification handbook/application guides you through the application process for the  certification examination.
• Sample wound products include a variety of common dressings to assist you in understanding the major dressing categories.

Study Assist

• Online flashcard games to help your learn important definitions.
• Course outline and notes section will help you to prepare for the examination.
• Practice tests and quizzes included with each module to reinforce learning.
• Ability to track progress and return to any area of the course to study desired topics.

Continuing Education

Physicians:
The Medical Society County of Orange, Inc. designates this educational activity for a maximum of 27.5 AMA PRA Category I Credit(s)TM.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses:
This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the New York State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.  It has been approved for 27.5 contact hours.  

Physical Therapists:
This program is pending approval by the Texas Physical Therapy Association for 27.5 contact hours.
